In the Impairment Arcade 3D, players can choose from three games to play: Free Throw, Air Hockey, or Whack-a-Mole. Each game has two rounds, with the first round being played as the classic arcade game, and the second round with an impairment overlay. By simulating what it’s like to play an arcade game with impairment of hypersensitivity, double vision, and dizziness, this game provides a metaphor for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Points are calculated at the end of each game and the virtual prize is awarded based on the total received. Created by Tennessee Tech’s iCube for the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.

Each game has two rounds, with the first round being played as the classic arcade game, and the second round with an impairment overlay. By simulating what it’s like to play an arcade game with the impairments of hypersensitivity, double vision, drowsiness, and dizziness, this game provides a metaphor for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
